Nina Wong

Violin

Nina Wong was born in Shanghai and grew up in Macau where she is the recipient of the Cultural Affairs Bureau Prize. In 2021 she received her Advanced Performance Studies Diploma from the Bard Conservatory of Music in the USA. She also holds a Master of Music and a Bachelor of Music (Honours) degree from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. In 2010 she won first prize in the categories of Violin Solo – Advanced Level, String Concerto, and Chamber Music for Strings at the 28th Macao Young Musicians Competition. She is the founder and first violinist of the Virtus Quartet which won the 2nd Prize in the 5th Shanghai International Chamber Music Festival. In 2012 Nina Wong was invited to perform He Zhan Hao's Butterfly Lovers Violin Concerto in Japan with the Macao Youth Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Lio Kuok Man to mark the 40th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan. In 2013 she received a full schlarship to tour Japan, Singapore, Vietnam and Mainland China as concertmaster of the Asia Youth Orchestra. In 2019 she made her debut at Carnegie Hall and in the same year served as Associate Concertmaster of the Marvão Festival Orchestra. She has performed with Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Hong Kong Sinfonietta, NDR Radiophilharmonie, Cologne Chamber Orchestra, Macao Orchestra, the National Youth Orchestra of Germany, Pražská Komorní Filharmonie and the Orquestra Sinfónica Portuguesa, among others. She has performed in Lisbon, Italy, Berlin, Prague, Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen and Hong Kong and has appeared at the Kent Blossom Music Festival in the USA with members of The Cleveland Orchestra. Nina Wong received high acclaim for her acting and playing in the opera La Traviata presented by More Than Musical under the direction of Nicholas Muni and Wei-en Hsu. Her violin mentors include Ivan Chan, Jan Mark Sloman and Sally Thomas. She has also participated in masterclasses with Maxim Vengerov, Jimmy Lin, Peter Serkin, Ann Schein, Julia Lichten, David Geber, Paul Kantor and the Miami and Shanghai Quartets.

王倩兒

小提琴

王倩兒在上海出生,在澳門長大,曾獲澳門政府頒發「文化局大獎」。2021年於美國巴德音樂學院考取高級演奏研究文憑。這些年來,先後於香港演藝學院考獲音樂學士(榮譽)及音樂碩士學位。2010年,她參加第二十八屆澳門青年音樂比賽,並在小提琴獨奏高級組、弦樂協奏曲組、弦樂室樂組三項均奪取冠軍。她所創立並兼任第一小提琴的Virtus 弦樂四重奏,於第五屆上海國際室內樂比賽弦樂四重奏組別中,贏得第二名。2012年,王倩兒隨澳門青年交響樂團到日本演出,在廖國敏指揮下,獨奏何占豪的《梁祝協奏曲》,以此慶祝中日友好四十周年。2013年,獲授全費獎學金,擔任亞洲青年樂團的團長,到日本、新加坡、越南及中國大陸表演。2019年,首度踏上卡奈基音樂廳的演奏台獻藝。同年,到葡萄牙出任馬爾旺音樂節樂團的副團長。她曾參與合奏的樂團包括香港管弦樂團、香港小交響樂團、北德電台愛樂樂團、科隆室樂團、澳門樂團、德國全國青年樂團、布拉格愛樂樂團、葡萄牙交響樂團等,演出地點涵蓋里斯本、意大利、柏林、布拉格、上海、北京、深圳、香港等地,又曾與克里夫蘭樂團在美國的肯特布森音樂節合奏。此外,她在香港More Than Musical舉辦的歌劇《茶花女》中演出兼演奏,得到舞台導演蒙尼和聲樂及歌劇教授徐惟恩的指導,成績出眾,大獲好評。她的小提琴老師包括陳浩堂、史洛文、唐瑪絲等,此外又曾參加溫格羅夫、林昭亮、薛金、舒安、里赫婷、紀伯、簡泰等小提琴家以及邁亞美四重奏、上海四重奏主講的大師班。
