Eduardo Zuber

Guest Conductor

Eduardo Zuber has performed widely as both a violin soloist and a conductor in Europe, America and Asia. Before the age of 20, he was the recipient of several first prizes including first prize at the Mexico National Competition of Musical Youth, the Mexico City Philharmonic National Competition for Young Soloists and the Jeunesses International Musical Competition Dinu Lipatti. He studied violin under Dorothy DeLay at the Juilliard School of Music in New York and conducting with Gustav Meier at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore on a full scholarship. After obtaining his masters degree in conducting, he became the teacher and co-ordinator of chamber music at the Peabody Conservatory. Eduardo Zuber's engagements include assistant conductor of the National Orchestra of Mexico, assistant conductor for the Baltimore Concert Opera, founder and music director of the Morelos Chamber Orchestra, conductor of the Youth Orchestra of Jalapa, Artistic Director of the Michoacán Symphony Orchestra (2004) and Principal Guest Conductor of the Hunan Symphony Orchestra in China (2006). He has also been invited as a member of the jury for the Valentino Bucchi Competition for strings in Rome, Italy. Since 2015 he has been based in Hong Kong.

艾華度‧祖巴

客席指揮

艾華度‧祖巴在樂團擔任小提琴獨奏和指揮,樂蹤遍及歐美和亞洲。他在20歲以前,已經數度在比賽中贏取冠軍,包括墨西哥全國音樂青年比賽、墨西哥巿愛樂樂團全國青年小提琴獨奏者比賽、李帕悌青年國際音樂比賽等。其後到紐約入讀茱莉亞音樂學院,隨狄妮學習小提琴演奏;又取得全費獎學金到巴爾的摩,在彼博迪音樂學院隨邁耶學習指揮,取得碩士學位後,留校任教,兼出任該學院的室樂統籌。祖巴曾獲聘擔任墨西哥國家樂團的助理指揮、巴爾的摩音樂會歌劇團的助理指揮、莫利羅室樂團的創辦人兼音樂總監、哈拉帕青年樂團的指揮,並於2004年任米卻肯交響樂團的藝術總監,2006年任湖南交響樂團的首席客席指揮。他曾應邀到意大利羅馬,為華倫蒂諾‧布基弦樂比賽擔任評判。他自2015年起定居香港。
