Vocal Master Class by Dame Emma Kirkby

Vocal candidates for the Masterclass will be chosen by ballot. Participants should prepare one or two arias or songs from the Early Music/Baroque vocal repertoire. A harpsichord will be provided, however all participants will be expected to arrange their own accompanist.

Cello Masterclass with Giovanni Sollima – Famous Italian cellist and composer, Giovanni Sollima gives master tips for cellists.

Participants: $450
Observers: $60 (pre-booked) / $80 (at the door on a first-come-first-served basis)

Candidates for the Masterclass will be chosen by ballot.
Participants should prepare one work (or movement) from the standard cello repertoire of no longer than 10 minutes duration. A grand piano will be provided, however all participants will be expected to arrange their own accompanist.

The Sound of Paganini – a historical perspective
Pre-concert talk and demonstration by Andrea Zanchetta
19 June (Friday) 2010, The HK Academy for Performing Arts, Concert Hall, 7:15pm

Andrea Zanchetta shares historical information gathered on Paganini. He will also make a demonstration and comparison between copies of Paganini’s strings with those made for the modern violin of today.
