Leanne Manning completed a Bachelor of Music with honours at the University of Queensland, Australia, a Graduate Diploma in performance at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music and a Master of Music at the Michigan State University in the USA. She has performed regularly with many chamber ensembles and orchestras in the USA and Asia including the Long Beach and Santa Monica Symphony Orchestras, the Moscow Grigorovich Ballet Orchestra, Sonor - the faculty contemporary music ensemble at UCSD, I Solisti del Los Angeles and the Macau Orchestra. From 2002 to 2006 Leanne was the principal clarinettist of the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra in China. In 2003 she won first prize in the Co-op Press Woodwind Recording Competition which included a commercial CD release and acclaimed public radio broadcasts across the USA. In 2005 she made solo appearances at clarinet conferences in Japan and Australia. She performs as a member of the Pearl Delta Chamber Soloists and has been a member of the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong since 2002.
