Elena Abrosimova comes from a family of professional bass players in Russia. She graduated from the Rimsky-Korsakov Saint Petersburg State Conservatory and received her Bachelor of Music degree from the Rostov State Conservatory (Academy) S.V. Rakhmaninov. She has had extensive experience as an orchestral musician, soloist and teacher. Professional engagements include performing with the Orchestra of the St. Petersburg State Chapel M.I. Glinki, the Rostov Academic Symphonic Orchestra, the Kislovodsk Symphony Orchestra and the Rostov Opera and Ballet theatre in Russia. She has also appeared as a soloist with the Rostov Symphony Orchestra. In 2006 Elena moved to China to join the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra. In 2008 she became a member of the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong. Since 2009 she has also been a guest player with the Macau Orchestra.
