ANGEL CHEUNG Angel Cheung began her bassoon studies with Thomas Chan at the Hong Kong Music Office. In 1993 she entered the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts to study with Kam Shui, principal bassoonist of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra.  She received several scholarships during her studies including the Jacky Chan Music Scholarship, Berwang Music Course Scholarship (Austria) and the Bayman Associate Scholarship. As a member of the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong, she is one of the most active Bassoonists in the territory. She has also performed with the Hong Kong Sinfonietta and the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. She has also performed abroad with various ensembles in Austria, UK, Spain, France, Poland, Japan, Lithuania, Taiwan and Thailand. She teaches bassoon at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and the Hong Kong Music Office and has produced many young outstanding bassoonists.
