This is to wish you all a very Happy Year of the Tiger! Thank you for your support last year. It was a year of happy milestones for the orchestra and the expressions of support from friends and audience members was very much felt and appreciated.
Just prior to the Chinese New Year holiday we gave our Baroque Concertos 1 concert to a full house at Union Church. It was a highly enjoyable evening. The orchestra and the soloists very much enjoyed the intimacy and good acoustics of the venue and the chance to mingle with audience members over refreshments in the adjoining garden area. Coming up on Saturday 27 March there will have more of the same. Baroque Concertos 2 however presents the chance to hear some of the most important and best-loved concertos in the baroque repertory for violin, oboe and harp. Click here for more details
All up we will be giving 6 performances in March. This month we will also do a re-run of our highly successful Sing the Sounds of English for schools at Yuen Long Theatre.
I am pleased to let you know that our special tango concert with Daniel Binelli, Polly Ferman and tango dancers Pilar Alvarez and Claudio Hoffmann was televised on TVB Pearl with a simulcast on RTHK Radio 4 on 6 March (Saturday) at 2:35pm.
