In this issue we are pleased to share with you COMMENTS FROM OUR AUDIENCE MEMBERS who attended our “SING THE SOUNDS OF ENGLISH”” performance held as part of the International Arts Carnival in July 2009.

Here are the comments:
This concert was really amazing and out of my expectation. I appreciated the combination of different performing styles like dancing, drama, singing and of course the live orchestra performance. The music was so “child-oriented”. My two girls enjoyed the show very much. This is the kind of performance I’ve been looking for where music is fun and relevant to our everyday lives. Thanks for “opening the door to music” for my little ones. It was a wonderful night.
Ms. Ho (Tseung Kwan O)
Very interesting! The children were so happy and absorbed in the show. Great job!
Ms. Tam (Kwai Chung)
A very creative show. My child loved it so much that he clapped for an encore. It is great that young children can get to hear a live orchestra. Many thanks to Jean Bunton who created such a witty and educational script.
Ms. Chan (Hong Kong)
The atmosphere was great - I loved it!
Miss Wan (Ma On Shan)
Children are very straight forward. If they like the performance they will listen, if not they will lose concentration. During the intermission of this performance, it was the children who were tugging at the mother’s sleeves and telling them to hurry up. They didn’t want to miss a moment of the show!
Miss. Tse (Kennedy Town)
Excellent - the music was fantastic and the performance by the two narrator/singers was excellent.
Mrs. Yip (Sha Tin)
The audience participation in this concert was great. My two kids are looking forward to the next show already!
Mrs. Lee (Ho Man Tin)
Before I arrived I was concerned that my two active daughters would not concentrate and sit through the performance. The opposite proved true: they were attentive the whole time and attracted by such a wonderful performance.
Mrs. Chan (Kennedy Town)
The concert matched the “Sing” theme very well and also the “English” theme. Besides English phonics and vocabulary the children also learnt about the importance of friendship through the story. A very educational experience!
Mr. Yip (Fanling)
Very interesting. My daughters were so delighted and excited that they danced and sang all along during the concert.
Mr. Wong (Tseung Kwan O)
Excellent. My son enjoyed the performance a lot and was really involved in the music.
Mr. Chan (Tseung Kwun O)
This show was really a wonderful and fantastic one! My family and I were impressed by the great performance by the professional actors and actresses. We liked Matthew and Corinna very much. They not only sang but also presented the story in a funny way.
Ms. Leung (Fanling)
Very impressive and joyfully presented.
Mr. Chung (Hong Kong)
This show was really wonderful and fantastic!
Ms. Leung (Fanling)
This performance was lively and energetic. The atmosphere was unified and there was plenty of audience interaction with the kids. I would definitely recommend this performance to other parents and buy a ticket to hear it again!
Mr. Tso (ToKwaWan)
Very inspiring and full of fun!
Miss Chung (Hong Kong)
The story was easy to understand and the opportunities for audience interaction stimulated the kids' interest. All in all this performance was educational and entertaining. Suitable for the whole family!
Mr. Leung (Sheung Shui)
This performance was interesting and meaningful. It not only taught children pronunciation, but it also introduced different types of musical instruments to the kids. It was an educational experience but also cozy and relaxing. The actors /singers were excellent and performed with lots of energy. It was a very successful and memorable summer programme.
Mrs. Fong (Tsueng Kwan O)
This concert had three rewards: listen to the music, watch the drama and learn English.
Ms. Kwan (Tai Po)
In this concert the children learnt English in a joyful atmosphere. The result: a win-win situation.
Mrs. Chan (Fanling)
Corinna & Matthew were outstanding. Their melodious voices enhanced the whole performance. All the children really loved it.
Dr. Yu (Yuen Long)
I admired how the creators used phonetics to link up the whole concert. It livened up an unfamiliar language for the little ones. Very worthwhile to watch!
Mrs. Lee (Ma On Shan)
I have always been a bit apprehensive about going to concerts and this my first time to go to one with my daughter. The acting and the refreshingly new music made it more interesting than I expected. I got a better understanding of the effects of the various different musical instruments.
Mrs. Cham (Sha Tin)
I appreciate such a creative performance. It enhanced the image of instrumental music-making for my children.
Ms. Lee (Central)
This show was so interesting and inspiring. The actor/singers performed with invigoration. Both the adults and the kids were absorbed in the performance. Thank you for a happy and memorable night.
Mrs. Mo (Tsing Yi)
