This CD of folk songs transcribed from Chinese, Mongolian, Danish, and popular European Classical music on which "both artists play superbly", was nominated CD of the Week in the leading German Music Magazine Klassik Heute. A musical encounter between China and the West is represented by the bamboo flutes (xiao and dizi), in dialogue with the sopranino, soprano, treble and tenor varieties of the modern-day recorder.
