The City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong (CCOHK) holds a unique position as one of the most active chamber orchestras in the Asian region. Comprising an international group of professional musicians living in Hong Kong and Asia, the CCOHK gives an annual subscription series of concerts with local and internationally renowned artists in a wide range of venues from the concert hall to churches. The orchestra’s programming embraces a diverse repertoire from Baroque to contemporary Chinese compositions and newly-commissioned works. The annual family programmes such as The Snowman and The Bear and The Magic Jungle are also a special part of the orchestra’s mission to bring classical music to young audiences.

On tour the CCOHK has made its mark at the Thirteenth Mostra Biennale di Liuteria nel Mezzogiorno Festival in Ortona, Italy and in Chengdu, China for the 10th Anniversary celebrations of the establishment of the HKSAR. In Hong Kong the CCOHK has performed for the Fifth Asia-Pacific Harmonica Festival, Le French May, Italy: Quality & Lifestyle Festival, It’Sweden, the Hong Kong International Arts Carnival and for RTHK Radio 4’s annual Christmas in the Park concerts televised by RTHK. In 2008 the CCOHK served as the official orchestra for the Second Hong Kong International Piano Competition chaired by Vladimir Ashkenazy.

Currently in its tenth season, the CCOHK has performed with a number of distinguished artists including Sir Thomas Allen, Dame Emma Kirkby, Michala Petri, Alexander Rudin, Daniel Binelli, Cristina Ortiz, Gary Graffman, Takako Nishizaki, Lu Si-quing, Pascal Rogé, Roger Woodward, Giovanni Sollima, Claude Delangle, Allen Vizzutti, Robert Bonfiglio, Catrin Finch and the Silver-Garburg Piano Duo. The CCOHK broadcasts regularly on RTHK Radio 4 and has made appearances on television in Hong Kong, Australia and Spain.
