  Giovanni Sollima's two-fold career as a composer and as a solo cellist is highlighted in this programme of classical to modern Italian works. He has collaborated with the likes of Claudio Abbado, Giuseppe Sinopoli, Jörg Demus and Martha Argerich and performs with ensembles including his own Giovanni Sollima Band and Yo Yo Ma's The Silk Road Project.
